Many of the local race fans who came out to enjoy a night of racing donated cans of food, rice, pasta, miscellaneous dry goods, as well as toys, stuffed animals, and various games. Fans who hadn't previously heard about the food and toy drive were eager to donate cash to a great cause. Drivers and race teams did their part too, filling the back of the welcometowilliamslake.ca truck with all sorts of goodies.

Last night Thunder Mountain Speedway hosted the first annual 'Christmas in July' toy and food drive for the Salvation Army.
June 13, 2010, WILLIAMS LAKE, BC– An overheating engine forced Trevor Seibert to retire early from the Vortex Brake Pads 200 at Mosport International Raceway near Toronto on Sunday. The veteran racer from Williams Lake, British Columbia, hoped his off-season switch from Ford to Dodge would bring new luck.
Chucks Thunder Mountain Speedway opens their season tonight with all four local classes heating up the oval. There is also a special event as the ARCA WEST OK Tire Race Series Roll into town for the Heartland Toyota 100.
