Williams Lake celebrates Christmas in July
Many of the local race fans who came out to enjoy a night of racing donated cans of food, rice, pasta, miscellaneous dry goods, as well as toys, stuffed animals, and various games. Fans who hadn't previously heard about the food and toy drive were eager to donate cash to a great cause. Drivers and race teams did their part too, filling the back of the welcometowilliamslake.ca truck with all sorts of goodies. The Williams Lake, BC, teenager overcame adverse conditions in the 100 lap main event to score the impressive finish. After qualifying fourth of 16 entries in time trials the rookie Seibert started the main event in 12th position. Last night Thunder Mountain Speedway hosted the first annual 'Christmas in July' toy and food drive for the Salvation Army.
June 13, 2010, WILLIAMS LAKE, BC– An overheating engine forced Trevor Seibert to retire early from the Vortex Brake Pads 200 at Mosport International Raceway near Toronto on Sunday. The veteran racer from Williams Lake, British Columbia, hoped his off-season switch from Ford to Dodge would bring new luck.
